The celebration of the National Day in a less “official” manner was held on Saturday 29 June in Berlin, Hamburg, Oslo, Vienna and other cities under the jurisdiction of the Embassy of Madagascar accredited to the Federal Republic of Germany.
Madagascar’s nationals and friends, in collaboration with the Embassy, came in large numbers on this occasion, following different formats adopted by the main organizers: Consul in Norway, resource persons in Hamburg and Vienna, Social and Sports Association in Berlin.
The dynamism, enthusiasm and solidarity of all contributed greatly to the success of this day. The lively atmosphere was at the rendezvous, the meetings also offer opportunities for exchanges and advice, possibly mutual help, over and above the festive feelings.
In Berlin, Mr Andriamilaitso Andriamarozara, President of “Madagasikara Sozialsportverein Deutschland” (MSD), a Malagasy-German socio-sport association, which aims to bring people together and aims to offer platforms for exchanges and incubators for action, shared his conviction of altruism in his speech, having himself benefited from the free help of a teacher in his studies.
Mrs. Florence Isabelle Rafaramalala sp. Ratsimba, Chargé d’affaires a.i. underlined in her speech the importance of solidarity and unity, she insisted on sensitizing the participants to gather the force in order to concretize common projects, in order to make Madagascar better known and in particular to set as objective to bring help and support to young people in the country, leaving for Germany or in search of a better future on the spot.
Live shows in Berlin of two Groups: Madagasik’Art and Feocoustic, as well as the varied music of the Big Island, thrilled the young audience until the early morning.
