“AFRICA MEETS BUSINESS” – Berlin March 19th, 2019

Representatives of the Embassy of Madagascar marked their presence at the “Africa meets Business”, a platform of an annual exchange organized by the “Africa working group” inside the CDU/CSU parliamentary group, which brought together more than 200 participants including companies, NGOs, parliamentarians and African embassies. The objective of this event is to strengthen economic relations between Germany and the countries of the African continent characterized by concrete and beneficial projects in the form of public-private partnerships.   This year, the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Dr. Gerd Müller, and the new Chairman of the CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group in the German Bundestag, Ralph Brinkhaus, honoured this ninth edition with their presence. It was an opportunity for the Federal Minister to announce for this year the opening of an Agency bringing together the German Federal Ministry for Cooperation and Development and the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy for better harmonization and effectiveness of projects with Africa.

G-to-B meetings on each country table, including Madagascar, have made it possible to establish or strengthen contacts with German companies.
