Twelve Malagasy companies clustered in the form of the “Syndicat des Entreprises Bio de Madagascar” Symabio participated in the 30th International BIOFACH Fair which took place from 13 to 16 February in Nuremberg, a city located in northern Bavaria.
Companies are: LECOFRUIT of the BASAN group, HAVAMAD of the VISIO group, SAHANALA, MPE Madagascar Premium Exotica of the SCRIMAD group, JACARANDAS, SAVONNERIE TROPICALE SA, FALY EXPORT, PHAEL FLOR, GUANOMAD, RTHM, FRUITS DE MADAGASCAR, MADASPICES.
Representatives of the Embassy accompanied the delegation.
This represents a must-attend event for professionals in the sector, as it brings together nearly 2,900 exhibitors from more than 90 countries, welcoming more than 50,000 visitors from all over the world. Producers, processors, distributors, organic certifiers and journalists exchange ideas around 3 themes: innovation and trends, experience and discovery, knowledge and learning, under the leitmotiv “the organic system: healthy in a holistic approach”.
Professionals and experts, young creative entrepreneurs converge on Nuremberg to discover organic food in all its diversity.
Malagasy business leaders had the opportunity to tie new partnerships, to strengthen them, to learn about the latest market trends and organic products.
Six of the companies were able to benefit from a BAUER family business visit, work sessions on the European market, certification… in collaboration with NABC “Netherlands-African Business Council”. Two of the companies exhibited under the Africa pavilion, including Havamad and Sahanala. B to B meetings took place throughout the exhibition. Not to mention the working session with the representatives of the Embassy of Madagascar over a convivial dinner.
Such participation by large-scale Malagasy companies reflects the express willingness of the private sector to promote Madagascar in an inclusive and sustainable manner and to significantly develop partnerships not only in Germany but also at the international level.
